In preparing for this project, DeLoss McGraw immersed himself in the music and writings of Woody Guthrie, heard firsthand accounts from the townspeople of Okemah, and read The Grapes of Wrath. The result, Hard Traveling, is an intimate and personal gathering of writings chosen by the artist to explore the theme of leaving home.
