Poem Made of Water

Water is a recurrent theme in poet Nancy Willard's broad landscape. This is one of many similarities she shares with the artist, whose work reflects a deep emotional response to the fluctuations of the organic world. This book evokes the relationship between the flow of language and the rich texture of vision.

Five-stanza poem by Nancy Willard; five chine collé drypoints by Michele Burgess. Text hand set in Perpetua and printed letterpress by Hal Truschke on seven loose folios of Nideggen laid paper, each hand painted with a blue green water motif. Drypoints printed by the artist.
