Volume six of “The Stratigraphic Archives” by Michele Burgess, this book is a tribute to poet Ruth Stone whose work has become deeply influential to Burgess and to Stone’s close friend, poet Chard deNiord. Stone passed away in 2011, during the production of A Torn Web (Stratigraphic Archives, volume five). DeNiord has written two poems for this book that frame the seven etchings. The poem, “A Last Cloud” by Stone is embedded within the images.
